Brigid Echtle

brigid_echtle_02.jpge-RYT 200 Yoga Teacher

  • Tell us, when did mind-body first bend you to it's will?   I discovered the joys and benefits of yoga seven years ago.  It has helped me look at life with new-found clarity and wisdom.  Yoga is now my passion and I enjoy sharing it with others.
  • Besides your obvious coolness, what makes you qualified to teach?    I am a Registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.  I have just completed my 500 hours of yoga training.
  • What other things are you qualified to do (besides train dolphins ... we're all qualified to do that)?    I hold a B.S. Clinical Laboratory Science, and a M.S. in Forensic Toxicology. Currently I am working as a Forensic Chemist , and believe me, its nothing like CSI!
  • What can we expect to see, hear and do in your classes?  I hope that everyone who comes to my classes will be able to learn how to bring yoga into their everyday lives.   I want students to experience a pleasant, safe environment in which they can find a mind and body connection.   I want them to feel rejuvenated after class, and look forward to coming back.
  • What pose do you dig the most and why?  Downward facing dog.  Its such a dynamic pose that rejuvenates the whole body.
  • If you could push a button and remove a pose/move from history, which one and why?  Any of the back-bends.  My mind wants to do it, but my body doesn’t.
  • Like, whats your sign man?   Capricorn, dude.
  • What are 3 things that make you smile real big and cheesy?   My two sisters, my friends, and my dogs.
  • What is your favorite quote when you're in need of a little inspiration? I love Albert Einstein; "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.".
  • If you could do anything to change the world, what would it be? Have people live more conscious lives.
  • Any other interesting information you would like to share with the nice people reading this here Bio?  I am honored to be a part of the Blue Anjou Community.  I look forward to meeting all the students and hope to share in their yoga experience.
