A teacher training certification program for overcoming addictions
The Breathe into Recovery Program was developed in honor of those who have lived a life driven by their addiction continuing to float through life like driftwood on the river of denial, never quit grasping hold of the fulfillment they are looking for. This program was developed for those living with an addiction as well as to help those who love them.
The Breathe into Recovery theory is
based on personal relationships of the creator as well as her experience
teaching yoga in a center for healing addictions and privately held classes.
This theory suggests that those with addictive personalities are spiritually
thirsty individuals who never quite fill that void.
This program drives home the power behind forgiving ourselves and others,
letting go, and finding acceptance in who we are by changing the way we think
on a cellular level. Through changing the way we think and talk about ourselves
and others, we can find the freedom we are looking for. This freedom lies
dormant within all of us and it is our intention to awaken this dormant seed
through yoga postures (asanas), breath work (pranayama), and positive
self-speak (through mantras).
The Breathe into Recovery Program is based on teachings of The Twelve Steps and
Promises of Alcoholics Anonymous. The program is perfect for those currently in
a treatment program, those who have been in recovery for years, or family
members of someone in recovery.
This certification course is for yoga teachers who want to learn to teach our
method of teaching yoga for overcoming addictions. Breathe into recovery™ is a
specialization offered by the Blue Anjou Teacher Training Program which is
registered with the Yoga Alliance.
Pre-Requisite: All teachers must be Registered with Yoga Alliance or currently actively enrolled in a 200 Hour program.
