for the expectant mother. Yoga is truly ideal for pregnant women
because it:
- Increases strength, circulation and balance.
- Helps you to appreciate and adapt more gracefully to the body's many changes.
- Allows all feelings to be acknowledged in an environment of acceptance and support.
- Provides a wonderful sense of community.
- Can help reduce swelling, back and leg pain, and insomnia.
- Develops concentration, focus and reduces stress.
- Can help ease or divert the discomfort of labor.
- Can be practiced right into labor!

Prenatal Yoga is an excellent exercise option during pregnancy. It can soothe your aches and pains, reduce stress, teach you to relax, and prepare you for childbirth and motherhood. Prenatal yoga also provides an opportunity for women to deepen their connections with their bodies, their babies, and with other pregnant women in the community. You must be in your second trimester and we require a release form from your doctor before starting the program. (Link to release form here).
