About All Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga literally means the yoga of balanced action. All physical forms of yoga stem from Hatha Yoga and our Hatha Yoga classes are an eclectic blend of several Hatha Yoga traditions, depending on the teacher's background and format offered. All teachers move the class articulately through the postures, pausing and perfecting the intention and the breath. All classes are inspiring, strength building, meditative and soothing. Postures may be held for several breaths and modified to facilitate personal growth and transformation.

Hatha & Restore

Restorative Hatha is nurturing and gentle practice using pillows and props, it is beneficial to students with special health needs, those in caretaking positions and those seeking a calming and renewing adaptation of classic Hatha Yoga poses. Expect a gentle, deliberately-paced Hatha Yoga practice followed by a Restorative portion, where extended time is spent in several passive postures meant relax and heal the body of the stresses it endures in everyday life. Appropriate for all.
