Hatha Yoga II

About all Hatha Yoga (generally)

Hatha Yoga literally means the yoga of balanced action. All physical forms of yoga stem from Hatha Yoga and our Hatha Yoga classes are an eclectic blend of several Hatha Yoga traditions, depending on the teacher's background and format offered. All teachers move the class articulately through the postures, pausing and perfecting the intention and the breath. All classes are inspiring, strength building, meditative and soothing. Postures may be held for several breaths and modified to facilitate personal growth and transformation.

Hatha Yoga II (the class)

This class is recommended for the student with proficient knowledge and practice of Yoga Asana and the desire to explore a more intermediate/advanced asana practice. As with all of our classes, compassionate and skilled teachers emphasize proper body alignment and awareness, and use of breath for integration and release, stressing the importance of working from the foundation up as the asana is built. Sustained postures promote strength, flexibility and the ability of the body to recover from day-to-day stresses. Be ready to have fun and explore!
