Hatha
Yoga literally means the yoga of balanced action. All physical forms of yoga stem from Hatha
Yoga and our Hatha Yoga classes are an eclectic blend of several Hatha Yoga
traditions, depending on the teacher's background and format offered. All teachers
move the class articulately through the postures, pausing and perfecting the
intention and the breath. All classes are inspiring, strength building,
meditative and soothing. Postures may
be held for several breaths and modified to facilitate personal growth and transformation.
Hatha Flow
Building upon our Hatha Yoga class,
Hatha Flow integrates individual postures into flowing movements coordinated
with the breath. All students are encouraged to move at comfortable
pace. We recommend that students be comfortable with the basic Sun
Salutation sequence for this class. In addition, students should be
familiar with basic yogic breathing techniques, such as Dirga and Ujjayi
pranayama.
