Connect with baby and other expectant mothers, and prepare the mind and body for labor using asana (poses), relaxation techniques, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation! Yoga can make a significant positive difference in your experience with pregnancy, labor/delivery and postpartum. With your doctor or midwife’s permission, prenatal yoga is safe for women to practice in their 2nd and 3rd trimester.
Melissa is a certified yoga teacher, popular area prenatal yoga instructor, DONA-certified birth doula and longtime yogini. She practiced prenatal yoga through both of her pregnancies and enjoys helping other mothers and mothers-to-be experience their own unique journey through pregnancy, labor and postpartum with yoga. The 6-week series will offer fresh classes each week sure to challenge you, but also relax you!
